Lifelong Learning Opportunities

The Fall Community Education Classes will be advertised soon. Just a reminder that all staff at BHSSC are lifelong learners. BHSSC staff can take any of the classes for free. You only must pay for the supply fees if applicable. Registration starts Sept. 1!

Softball Games Aug. 19 in Rapid City

Special Olympics softball is in full swing in the Northern Hills DD program. They will be participating in the Regional games on August 19. Event information can be found here. They have a unified team and some people are participating in skills programs. There are about 15 athletes participating in this activity.

Youth Leadership Forum 2023

The 2023 Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) was held June 4-8, 2023 on the Northern State University campus in Aberdeen, SD. YLF is a five-day educational and motivational forum, which involves an intense schedule of presentations, leadership training, hands-on activities, volunteer opportunities, and recreational events. 2023 National Rural Summit

Dr. Pam Lange and Morgan VonHaden were invited to present at the 2023 National Rural Summit in Charlotte, NC in April. Their session, Family Engagement in Rural Communities: Best Practices for Reaching All Families was standing room only, showing the huge need for ways to truly create an environment for Family Engagement.
