South Dakotans work hard.  They turn to Education and Workforce Development for education that will allow them to work in jobs that make economic self-sufficiency possible. The Career Learning Center of the Black Hills (CLC) in Rapid City is the base for division activities, but they happen also in communities throughout the Black Hills.

Participants may enroll in job specific training, GED® preparation classes, adult basic education, English-as-a-Second Language instruction, or computer and keyboarding classes. Additional services include National Career Readiness Certification, career counseling, and tests for professional certification and licensure at the CLC’s Professional Assessment Center.

This division also administers alternative high school learning, Project SEARCH of the Black Hills, and the National Farmworker Jobs Program. Black Hills residents can also experience lifelong learning opportunities through Community Education of the Black Hills!
