Matthew Sutton

Matthew joined BHSSC as a Grants and Evaluation Specialist in September 2024. Originally from Pierre, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota in 2022, followed by a master’s degree in public administration, specializing in nonprofit management and philanthropy, from the University of North Carolina in 2024.
Prior to joining BHSSC, Matthew spent a year consulting for national nonprofits across the country, where he developed expertise in grant writing. He is passionate about serving both his community and his state. Outside of work, you’ll likely find him relaxing in a hammock by a lake or out on a trail run.
